FocusZen® Code – More Than Music

One of the questions I hear most often is whether FocusZen® Code is created using artificial intelligence.

The answer is yes.

I use AI-powered music tools to create the sound behind each track, but FocusZen® Code has never been about artificial intelligence. From the very beginning, it has been about people, emotions and the way we speak to ourselves every single day.

I also want to be completely transparent about how this project is created. I don’t hide the fact that I use AI. In fact, one of my official creator profiles on the platform I use is publicly visible, so anyone can see that AI is part of my creative process. I’ve never tried to present it as anything else. The music is created with the help of technology, but every lyric is written by a human being.

Why did I create FocusZen® Code?

At some point I realised that almost all of us listen to music every day. We listen while driving, working, studying, walking or simply trying to slow down after a long day. That made me wonder whether music could become more than background noise. Not therapy and not motivation, but a quiet space that encourages people to pause, reflect and reconnect with themselves. That simple thought became the foundation of FocusZen® Code.

Every song begins with words, not music. The lyrics are inspired by my own experiences, observations of everyday life, conversations with people and the stories they choose to share with me. Those lyrics are the heart of this project. Only after they are finished do I begin searching for the right sound. AI helps me experiment with different musical styles, arrangements and atmospheres, but it doesn’t create the message. Technology creates the sound. The meaning always comes from a person.

People often ask why I use AI instead of learning music production. The answer is simple. I never wanted to become a music producer. My goal was to create something meaningful that could become part of everyday life. AI allows me to spend more time writing, developing the FocusZen® philosophy and building the wider ecosystem instead of spending years mastering production software. To me, technology is simply another creative tool, just like a camera is for a photographer or design software is for a designer.

As a listener, I often felt it was difficult to find music that combines a beautiful melody with lyrics that reflect real life. On one side there is music built almost entirely around the melody. On the other, there are affirmation-based songs that sometimes present reality in a way that feels too idealised for me. I found myself looking for something in between: music people genuinely enjoy listening to, combined with lyrics that don’t pretend life is perfect. Lyrics that acknowledge where we are today rather than where we wish we were.

That is why FocusZen® Code isn’t built around empty affirmations or unrealistic positivity. It doesn’t try to convince people that everything will be fine or that tomorrow will definitely be better. Life doesn’t work that way. Sometimes we take a huge step forward. Sometimes simply getting out of bed is an achievement. I believe both moments deserve the same respect.

One of the lyrics that best reflects this philosophy is, “You don’t have to be perfect.” I know that FocusZen® Code isn’t a perfect project either. I’m still learning. Every new release teaches me something about writing, music and how to bring those two worlds together in a more meaningful way.

People also ask why I choose to make the music freely available when every release costs time, subscriptions, distribution fees and countless hours of work. The answer is simple. I never wanted access to words that might help someone to depend on what they could afford.

If one song helps a close friend find the strength to take one small step during a difficult time, if another helps someone see their own value again, or if this project reminds me not to give up myself, then every hour I’ve invested and every pound I’ve spent has already been worth it.

For me, that is the true value of FocusZen® Code.

Technology will continue to evolve. AI will become more advanced, and new creative tools will appear. None of that changes why this project exists.
