PS FROM THE CREATOR — MY OBSERVATIONS
I can’t share scientific research on Crystalline Focus as a complete system — for one simple reason: no one has yet studied this exact combination as one complete structure.
The individual elements and phenomena I worked with while creating this music have been studied scientifically on their own, and I have already shared some of that research with you.
But combining those elements into one musical structure is a different story.
So, for now, I can share something else: my own practical tests and observations from everyday listening to Crystalline Focus.
These observations come from myself, my child, friends and — quite unexpectedly — the animals in my home.
I don’t present them as scientific proof. They are simply a record of what I have noticed so far: where this music works particularly well for me, where it doesn’t, and what has changed during regular use.
🔊 VOLUME & SPEAKERS
For me, Crystalline works best at low to moderate volume. I really don’t see any need to play it very loud.
I currently use KEF speakers. Even at relatively low volume, the characteristic low “mrrr” remains noticeable in the room and can travel through the floor.
Every audio system will behave differently, of course. With a dedicated or more powerful subwoofer, the low-frequency effect may be considerably stronger.
With headphones, I also definitely prefer a lower volume.
🧹 PHYSICAL WORK
I have one fairly specific observation here.
During fast physical work — professional cleaning, for example — Crystalline unfortunately seems to slow my pace down. It is slower music, and I notice that I naturally begin performing tasks more slowly while listening to it.
There is an interesting other side to this, though: at that calmer pace, I don’t feel as tired or as if I’m constantly rushing.
At home, that works perfectly well for me. I can slow down, do what needs to be done and stay focused on the task in front of me.
If speed is the priority, however, I would personally choose something faster.
💻 COMPUTER & DESK WORK
This is one of the situations where Crystalline works particularly well for me.
At a low level in the background, I find it very comfortable while writing, organising things or working at a computer.
Sometimes a particular musical element or verbal anchor catches my attention and stays in my head. For me, it can work almost like a small reminder that brings me back to what I was doing instead of getting up and somehow finding five completely unrelated things to do along the way.
📖 READING & CONVERSATION
This is where it doesn’t always work for me.
When I’m reading something that requires a lot of concentration or having a conversation that needs my full attention, I often automatically turn the music down.
So I don’t consider Crystalline universal background music for absolutely everything.
🚗 DRIVING
Another place where I personally love listening to Crystalline Focus is in the car.
And there is an important distinction here: I love driving. I genuinely enjoy being behind the wheel. Driving itself has never been the problem.
The problem is the anxiety that sometimes comes with it — the fear that I might do something wrong or that something unexpected might happen.
Even after several years of driving in the UK, a relatively small unexpected situation on the road could sometimes trigger a strong stress response in me: sudden fear, shaking or a racing heartbeat.
I’ve now been regularly driving with Crystalline for around a month and a half, and this is where I’ve noticed one of the biggest differences.
While driving with Crystalline, I haven’t experienced those anxiety reactions in the same way.
My driving also feels calmer and more coordinated. I seem to look further ahead while simultaneously keeping track of what is happening closer to me. Mirrors, approaching vehicles and the road ahead seem to fit together more naturally.
I find myself anticipating situations earlier: “OK, I’ll wait here for a moment and let them pass” — and then simply continuing.
I’m not claiming that Crystalline improves my reaction time because I haven’t measured that. I’m describing only my own experience: less tension, calmer decision-making and a greater feeling of fluidity while driving.
Especially in city driving, I also notice that Crystalline tends to slow me down rather than encourage me to rush. The music doesn’t compete for my attention. It stays in the background while my attention remains on the road.
I don’t know why this happens, and I don’t assume everyone else will experience the same thing. It is simply one of the clearest observations I’ve made during roughly six weeks of regularly listening to Crystalline Focus in the car.
Of course, the road always comes first. Music should remain at a comfortable level and should never interfere with hearing your surroundings, awareness or safe driving.
I still love driving — with Crystalline, I simply find myself doing it more calmly.
🎮 CHILDREN, AuADHD & ROBLOX
This is another particularly interesting observation — and this part may appeal especially to parents of children who play Roblox or other games while producing all those strange noises, shouts and random sounds that probably need no explanation to another parent of a gamer. 😅
My son has diagnosed ADHD and autism (AuADHD).
Shouting, sudden excitement and loud reactions while playing Roblox used to be completely normal for him.
Now, those outbursts have become rare.
Crystalline Focus very often plays downstairs while he is gaming. His bedroom is directly above the room where the speakers are located.
I actually went into his room while he was playing specifically to check how much of the music could be heard upstairs.
The music itself is softly audible, but particularly close to the floor, you can hear and feel the characteristic low “mrrr” travelling through the structure of the house.
I can’t say from this observation that Crystalline caused the change in his behaviour. What I can say is that the change is noticeable, and it has happened during the period in which this music has been playing regularly in our home.
Perhaps this observation will turn out to be interesting for other families too.
If you have a Roblox player at home — or a player of any other game whose unofficial soundtrack consists mainly of mysterious shouting coming from their bedroom 😂 — you can simply try Crystalline quietly in the background.
If you test it, let me know what you observe. I’m genuinely curious whether anyone else notices a difference.
👥 BACKGROUND MUSIC AROUND OTHER PEOPLE
At a quiet level, Crystalline also works very well for me when other people are around.
Everyone can still talk normally while the music simply exists underneath the conversation instead of taking over the room.
I use it in a similar way when children are around: quiet enough that everyone can talk and play normally.
In my observations so far, children can play peacefully with it in the background without the music itself adding another layer of noise to the room.
🐾 AND THEN THERE ARE THE ANIMALS…
This wasn’t something I ever intended to test.
My cat and dog regularly sleep extremely close to the speakers while Crystalline Focus is playing.
Quite literally: one near one speaker and the other near the second.
I haven’t noticed them reacting to transitions, changes in the musical structure or the characteristic low-frequency elements.
They simply sleep.
Apparently, the best listening positions in the house have already been claimed. 😅
These are simply my observations from everyday use of Crystalline Focus.
I’m not presenting them as scientific evidence, medical claims or instructions for how anyone else should experience this music.
They are the first practical notes from living with something I created — listening repeatedly in different situations and paying attention not only to where Crystalline seems to work well, but also to where it doesn’t.
And one thing has remained surprisingly consistent:
Crystalline Focus doesn’t need to be loud to be present.
Calm. Focus. Action.
