Why We Created the Polish Edition of FocusZen® Challenge

For many people, Poland is simply home.

For millions of children growing up abroad, however, Poland becomes something more. It is the language spoken with grandparents, family traditions celebrated during holidays, stories shared by parents, and a cultural heritage that can become harder to maintain with each passing year.

Many Polish families living around the world face the same question:

How can we help our children stay connected to the Polish language, culture and history while growing up in another country?

This question became one of the inspirations behind FocusZen® Challenge – Polish Edition.

Rather than creating a simple translation of an existing educational game, we decided to develop a dedicated edition designed specifically for Polish children living outside Poland and for families who want learning to become a natural part of everyday life. It can also be a valuable learning tool for adults who want to learn or improve their Polish, reconnect with Polish culture, or simply refresh their knowledge in a more engaging and enjoyable way. We hope it becomes a fun alternative to traditional language learning for learners of all ages.

FocusZen® Challenge combines educational content with game mechanics designed to encourage observation, quick thinking, decision-making and conversation.

Instead of memorising long pages of information, children interact with knowledge through short, engaging challenges that make learning enjoyable.

Every card is designed to encourage exploration rather than simply testing memory.

Supporting Polish Families Around the World

Millions of Polish families have built their lives outside Poland.

Their children often grow up speaking two or more languages and navigating two or more cultures at the same time.

This creates wonderful opportunities—but also unique educational challenges.

Parents frequently look for engaging ways to help their children maintain their Polish language skills while also learning about the country’s geography, history and traditions.

FocusZen® Challenge is being developed as one of the tools that can support this journey.

More than teaching facts, our goal is to strengthen children’s connection with their cultural heritage while making learning enjoyable.

Designed With Neurodiversity in Mind

From the very beginning, FocusZen® projects have been created with different learning styles in mind.

Every child processes information differently.

That is why FocusZen® Challenge focuses on simple rules, visual learning, short activities and engaging gameplay that can support many different learners.

This includes children with ADHD, autism and other neurodivergent profiles, while remaining accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Rather than increasing cognitive overload, the game is designed to encourage confidence, curiosity and participation.

But understanding your own identity matters just as much.

Children who understand where their families come from often become more confident sharing their culture with friends and classmates.

Collaboration With the Frederic Chopin Polish School CIC in Bath

An important part of developing FocusZen® Challenge – Polish Edition will be our collaboration with the Polish School named Polska Szkoła im. Fryderyka Chopina based in Bath, United Kingdom.

The school’s Headteacher will support the educational development of the cards by providing valuable educational insight during the preparation of the content.

This collaboration represents an important step in ensuring that the game combines engaging gameplay with meaningful educational value.

The students of the Frederic Chopin Polish School CIC in Bath will also become one of the first groups to test the game.

Their feedback, ideas and experiences will help shape future editions of FocusZen® Challenge.

Together, we hope to explore whether educational games can become an even more effective way of encouraging children to learn through curiosity, interaction and play.
